Sochi will be glad to meet guests and participants of the contest "New Wave 2018", which will be held from 4 to 9 September. This year the competition will be held in a unique concert hall New Wave Hall, which is located in the Olympic Park (Sochi, Adler district).
As before, talented performers from 16 to 35 years old can apply for participation in an international project. Traditionally, the" New Wave " will feature vocal performances of different musical genres. The composition of the performers are also not discussed. Solo performers, duets, groups and ensembles with one amendment can take part: at the time of the performance, there should not be more than 6 people on the stage. This group included the competitor himself, backing vocalists, the ballet and the accompanying group. Everyone is welcome to fill in the participant's form. The New Wave 2018 competition will be held in 4 rounds
1 round has the character of the qualifying. Held at the regional level. Singers will have to sing 3 songs: original, global hit, and hit their country. At the same stage, participants submit documents, fill out questionnaires.
Round 2 of the national/regional scale. At this stage, the participant is required to perform 2 works: only the hit of the country or the author's song and necessarily the world hit in a foreign language. In the second round, the jury reserves the right to interrupt the performer before he finishes the performance and ask to sing another song from the repertoire of the performer. In addition, the jury gives recommendations to the participants on the style of performance and selection of repertoire.
3 round of "New Wave"— semi-final. Lasts 2 days. As in the second round, the participants perform 2 works: only the hit of the country or the author's song and necessarily the world hit in a foreign language. In the third round, the jury can also stop the participant, ask to perform something else or not to allow the performer until the second day of the semi-final.
At this stage, the participants of the final will be determined.
4 round-final. Will take place on September 4-9, 2018.
Costs of participation in the competition
The first three rounds of the contest participants pay for their own accommodation, travel and food. Everyone decides where he will live. The organizing Committee, without having obligations to the participants, can assist in the placement and provision of documents. The organizing Committee pays for round-trip travel, three meals a day, internal transport, accommodation and transfer to the participants of the final of the "New Wave 2018". Please note that these conditions are only available to the participant and one of his / her accompanying persons.
