6 of the Sochi Beaches have received the «Blue flag»
The best beaches of Sochi will have to meet the established quality standards. For berths, too, will be subject to certain requirements. The names of some blue flag beaches are already known:
- Barhatnye sezony;
- Primorskiy;
- Chaika
- Radisson Blu Paradise Resort and SPA;
- Pullman Sochi Centre;
- Rosa Khutor.
The blue flag is awarded annually by the Foundation for environmental education. This non-profit organization awards the flag to the cleanest beaches with good water quality. Control of beach areas is carried out according to 29 requirements. As experts report, as a result of check of above listed beaches it was established that sea water in their territory isn't infected by an intestinal infection and completely meets all criteria.
Veniamin Kondratyev, Governor of the region, recently spoke about the intention to open the beaches in the prescribed time. The discussion was held at the security Council on resorts. Tenants who have not prepared the beaches in the prescribed time will be held liable.
