To date, two routes have already been opened for Hiking in the Caucasian reserve - “Engelman glades - lake Kardyvach” and “Through the mountains to the Black sea, through the Fisht shelter”. This was told by the press service of the biosphere reserve.
“Through the mountains to the Black sea, through the Fisht shelter” (Route 9)
The route includes a visit to Engelmanova Polyana (border stream), lake Kardyvach and return to Engelmanova Polyana. The route from Engelmanova glades, past the river valley Smita to Cardillac (lake). The road runs along the right Bank of the valley through mixed forests. After the mixed forests the trail goes to the treeless areas of the Alpine zone. The road cross over 30 small rivers and streams that flow into Smitu.
“Through the mountains to the Black sea, through the shelter Fisht” (route № 30)
The route starts from the checkpoint "Lagonaki". The main part of the way is laid along the Fisht-Oshten Massif. Fischt shelter itself is provided with everything you need for a more than comfortable Parking. There are dining rooms with benches and tables, toilets, decks for tents and fire sheds. According to the staff of the reserve, for the passage of any route it is necessary to apply in advance for a visit to the Caucasian biosphere reserve.
